Meet Our Team

Darlene Meiners MA, LPC, CAMS III
Licensed Professional Counselor

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my goal is to provide clients with personalized services to assist in meeting individual needs. As a professional with over 30 years of experience working with children, adults, and families in various environments, I understand the importance of having "your story" heard so appropriate strategies can be put in place to assist you in moving forward.

The approach I use with all my clients is based on compassion. It is important you feel supported, respected, heard, and safe as you proceed through your journey.

I have specialized training in Love and Logic, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Nurturing Parenting.  I am also trained in working with children as young as two years of age in play and art therapy environments.  In addition, I received specialized training in anger management and earned the Certified Anger Management Specialist III credential.

I provide flexible, affordable, and supportive services to children (as young as 2), adolescents, adults, and families.  I am very privileged to get to do what I love every single day and I look forward to working with you and your family.

Caren Waters, APSW
Advanced Practice Social Worker

My name is Caren Waters and I am a Social Worker. I have worked with individuals and families for almost four years. My previous experience had to do with folks with Attachment Disorder. I learned so much from that experience and have since moved from New Mexico to Wisconsin to be close to family.

One of the greatest joys and privileges, for me, is to work with someone who is ready to deal with their trauma. To be present while their lives change before my eyes is truly miraculous. Working with families with children is also incredibly gratifying because, in most  cases, parents just don’t know, they don’t have the tools. It’s my job to educate and give them the tools they need to work with their children on a day-to-day basis. These powerful tools can make a tremendous difference, and I have seen it myself personally. Finally, I am also a Health Coach, trained by The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and I can incorporate diet into the mix if that is called for. I have dealt with my own sugar

addiction and I know what a difference that has made in my life.

For me it was life changing.

This is why I love this work so much!
